Cedar Lake (Manitoba)

BW

The Cedar Lake is located on the lower reaches of the Saskatchewan River, which flows through it, just before its confluence with the Lake Winnipeg. The water level of Cedar Lake is regulated by the Grand Rapids Dam. The lake is popular with recreational fishing (eg Walleye and Walleye Fish ( Sander vitreus ) ).

On the western shore of the lake lies just south of the mouth of the Saskatchewan River a reference for fossiliferous amber Cretaceous age. Amber from this reservoir is called Chemawinit.
