Cedric the Entertainer

Cedric the Entertainer ( born April 24, 1964 in Jefferson City, Missouri; civil Cedric Antonio Kyles ) is an American actor and comedian.

Life and career

During his college years at the Southeast Missouri State University Cedric Kyles began working as a stand up comedian. Because he also sang and danced in his performances, Cedric The Entertainer gave himself the additional. He had in 1992 in It's Showtime at the Apollo his first television appearance. Thereafter, Cedric joined Def Comedy Jam and BET's Comic View. For the latter, he was also the host of 1994-1995. 1996 brought him his friend Steve Harvey in his sitcom The Steve Harvey Show. Since then he had his own sketch show, and has appeared in numerous films.

Together with Steve Harvey, Bernie Mac, and D. L. Hughley Cedric the Entertainer toured under the name of Kings of Comedy by the United States. Since October 2005 he has its own team in the Champ Car series.
