Cees Dekker

Cees Dekker ( born April 7, 1959 in Haren ) is a Dutch nano scientists.

Life

Dekker is a world expert in the field of nanoscience. Four times he appeared on the covers of Science and Nature, where he published frequently. He teaches at the Technical University of Delft.

Dekker is a supporter of evangelical Christians and represents the theistic evolution. As he mixes his scientific knowledge of nanoscience with religion, he is considered a representative of Intelligent Design, a broadcast by Christian fundamentalism pseudo-science, whose aim is to discredit the ruling in the scientific world theory of evolution because this a literal interpretation of the Bible contradicts. From the international scientific community Dekker is therefore heavily criticized because his statements to create the appearance of science to Intelligent Design, even though they are religious in nature.
