Cellere

Cellere is a municipality with 1189 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Viterbo in the Italian region of Lazio.

Geography

Cellere is located 117 km northwest of Rome and 41 km north-west of Viterbo. It is situated in the Monti Volsini between Lake Bolsena and Tuscania. The medieval village is spread on a long narrow Tuffhügel. The municipality belongs to the village and the hamlet Pianiano gift Letta.

The neighboring municipalities are Arlena di Castro, Canino, Ischia di Castro, Piansano, Tessennano and Valentano.

Traffic

Cellere situated on the state road SS 312 Via Castrense that leads from Lake Bolsena to the Via Aurelia at Montalto di Castro.
