Cello Concerto (Myaskovsky)

The Cello Concerto in C minor, Opus 66 by Nikolai Yakovlevich Myaskovsky was born in 1944/ 45 and is one of the few works of composers who are more often found in concert or on recordings.

The concert is in two movements, the first is called Lento ma non troppo - Andante - Tempo I, the second as Allegro vivace - Piu marcato - Meno mosso - Tempo I. The total duration of the concert is approximately 25 minutes. The piece is one of the late works of the composer, to Russian folk songs found in the melodies again.
