Celso Amorim

Celso Luís Nunes Amorim ( born June 3, 1942 in Santos, São Paulo) is the current Defense Minister of Brazil, after his predecessor was Nelson Jobim resigned in early August 2011. Celso Amorim was previously Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil in the Lula da Silva to 31 December 2010.

He already held this role between 1993 and 1995 under President Itamar Franco from. Before he was appointed foreign minister, Amorim was his country's ambassador in London.
