Celso Otero

Celso Otero, full name Celso Otero Quintas, ( born 1 February 1958 in Montevideo ) is a retired Uruguayan football goalkeeper.

Playing career

Association

The 1.79 meter tall goalkeeper Otero, who played, among others, also for Club Atlético Alto Perú, was in the early stages of his career from 1978 to 1979 at Nacional under contract. In 1980, then on the one hand Danubio, on the other hand performed Racing as his employer. In the years 1982 to 1988, he belonged to the squad Montevideo Wanderers in Primera División on. In 1985, the Uruguayan team runner-up. 1989-1991 is listed in Rentistas for him a station. For the year 1990, however, other sources lead him again at the Wanderers.

National

Otero was also a member of the senior national team of Uruguay, with which he participated in the 1986 World Cup. Coach Omar Borrás but reached into this competition is not back to Otero services.
