Celtic Tiger Live

Celtic Tiger is an Irish dance show directed by Michael Flatley, who also developed the choreography and self-produced the show. The music was written by Ronan Hardiman. The premiere took place on 9 July 2005 in Népstadion in Budapest. This was also the start of the show in Europe.

Title

Celtic stands for the Celtic people. Tiger symbolizes the awakening of the mind just this people in the struggle for freedom.

Content

In the first act is mostly about Irish history, which is emphasized on the basis of video recordings. The act ends with the first occurrence of Ireland as a nation state. The second act deals with the modern Ireland and describes the lifestyle of the Irish in America and the rest of the world.
