Cemil Bayık

Cemil Bayik (* in the village in the province of Elazig Aşağı Cakmak ) is a founding member of the Kurdistan Workers' Party and Co - Chairman of the Executive Council of the coma Civakên Kurdistan, the umbrella organization of the PKK. His code name is Cuma.

Family and Life

Little is known about the life Bayıks. He was born the son of Mustafa Bayik. Cemil Bayik has three brothers and one sister. His father rejected him in 1976.

Functions

Cemil Bayik joined already in 1976 the group to Abdullah Ocalan on. He was involved in the founding of the Party and, together with Şahin Dönmez Öcalan and a member of the first " Central Committee " of the party. He led the military wing of the organization, the so-called People's Liberation Army of Kurdistan ( Kurdistan Artesa Rizgariya gels, ARGK ). Cemil Bayik was long years as the number two within the PKK. After the seizure of Abdullah Ocalan, he took over the leadership of the organization in the short term. He survived several power struggles within the PKK leadership.

Bayik was elected in July 2013 as Co - Chairman of the Executive Board of the coma Civakên Kurdistan, the organization that serves after the presentation of the PKK as the nucleus of a new society.
