Central Bank of Belize

The Central Bank of Belize is the Central Bank in the Central American Belize.

The bank was established on 1 January 1982 by the new Central Bank Act, modeled on the Bank of England. She is the editor of the Belizean currency of Belize dollar and regulates commercial banks and other financial institutions in the country.

Like other central banks also is the Central Bank of Belize ( in particular securing the exchange rate stability ) responsible and the compilation of national accounts statistics and analysis for the security of the national financial market stability. A special feature of the currency is the coupling of the Belize dollar to the U.S. dollar ( U.S. $ 1 corresponds to 1.97 BZD ).
