Libyan Currency Committee

The Central Bank of Libya (Arabic مصرف ليبيا المركزي, English Central Bank of Libya, CBL) is the is the national central bank of the state of Libya. It is headquartered in Tripoli, as well as branches in Benghazi, Sebha and Sirte. Since March 10, 2011, she is on the list of persons and institutions in 2011 affected by EU sanctions against Libya. Since then, the accounts of the CBL are blocked in Germany.

Location

History

The CBL took on 1 April 1956, the shops, sparking the Libyan Currency Committee from. To promote Auslandsinvestitonen and to support the Libyan Investment Authority under the complete control of the CBL -standing Libyan Arab Foreign Bank was established in 1972.

Organization
