Central Cebu Protected Landscape

The Central Cebu National Park is located 18 km west of Cebu City, the capital of the province of Cebu, on the island of Cebu in the Philippines. It was originally established as a nature reserve on September 15th 1937 on an area of ​​153.93 km ² with the entry into force of the Proclamation 202. On March 27, 1971, he has been expanded with the entry into force of the Proclamation 835 -A to its protection status to a National Park, but reduced the area on 118.94 km ². Since 2007 he is part of the Natural Park Central Cebu Protected Landscape, which was established according to the guidelines of the National Integrated Protected Areas System ( NIPAS ). It includes the Sudlon National Park, the Kotkot and Lusaran River Watershed Forest Reserves and covers an area of ​​283.12 km ². It is surrounded by two buffer zones of 1.28 and 6.6 km ².

The flora of the national park is very diverse and includes 200 plant and tree species that are endemic in the Central Visayas.
