The Central Coast Highway is a main road in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales. It connects the Sydney - Newcastle Freeway and the Pacific Highway at Kariong with the Pacific Highway in Doyalson. The route received on August 9, 2006 changed its name officially by the Government of New South Wales, so that they can be identified easily by visitors as access road to this stretch of coast. The route was formerly part of the Pacific Highway.

Course

The Central Coast Highway branches off at the exit from the Sydney - Newcastle Freeway Kariong (N1 ) to the east and runs along the old route of the Pacific Highway through Kariong and Gosford West Gosford to. There she follows The Entrance Road east through East Gosford, Erina, Wamberal, Forresters Beach, Bateau Bay, Long Jetty until after The Entrance.

The highway leading to the city center of The Entrance around on the Spit to Noraville and Budgewoi. From there he moved to the northwest by Buff Point and San Remo until after Doyalson, where he again meets the Pacific Highway ( S83 / S111).

Numbering

From the exit Kariong up to Gosford where the Central Coast Highway runs jointly with the Pacific Highway, carrying both road numbering State Road 83 ( S83 ). From Gosford The Entrance on the Central Coast Highway after Doyalson has no numbering. The is only to be realized when the state roads in New South Wales will be converted to the alphanumeric system.
