Central Franconian is a West Central German group of German dialects.
This has nothing to do with the Bavarian district or administrative region of Middle Franconia.
Structure
- Ripuarian, also Ripuarian - Frankish - often referred to in the literature of the 18th and early 19th century solely as a means Fränkisch - this includes Kölsch. It is spoken in the southwestern North Rhine -Westphalia, on the northwestern edge of Rhineland -Palatinate, in the northern half of East Belgium, as well as in the southern tip of the Netherlands.
- Moselle Franconian spoken in North Rhine -Westphalia in the winning country, large parts of Rhineland -Palatinate and Saarland in the northwest. Lorraine is spoken in France in the department of Moselle.
- Luxembourgish, and Luxembourgish, spoken in Luxembourg, in Belgium in Areler country and in neighboring France.
