Central Mindanao University

The Central Mindanao University (CMU ) is located in the province of Bukidnon in the Philippines. It is regarded as an important educational institution in the administrative region of Northern Mindanao. The University has a site that covers a total area of approximately 30.8 km ². The University is considered to be an internationally renowned research institute in the fields of agriculture and forestry. History

The University's history began on 1910 as the Mailag Industrial School was opened in Malaybalay. This was in 1918 renamed the Bukidnon Agricultural School. In 1923, the status of the school was increased and the Bukidnon Rural High School opened, this was for field trials an area of 7.24 km ² awarded. In 1928 the school was renamed the Bukidnon Agricultural High School, and in 1938 this educational institution was opened for the education of women.
