Central Transdanubia

Central Transdanubia ( ungar: Közép Transdanubia ) is one of seven Hungarian regions at NUTS 2-based (code: HU21 ) and part of Transdanubia (Latin side of the Danube ). The region consists of the three counties

  • Komárom -Esztergom
  • Fejér and
  • Veszprém.

The largest cities are Mitteltransdanubiens Tatabánya, Székesfehérvár, Veszprém and Dunaújváros. The region has 1,098,654 inhabitants and has an area of ​​11,237 km ².

Location

The region is located in the northern part of Hungary, bordering Slovakia. The four neighboring regions in western Transdanubia, Southern Transdanubia in the South and Central Hungary and the Southern Great Plain in the east.
