Centro de Información y Educación para la Prevención del Abuso de Drogas

The Centro de Información y Educación para la Prevención del Abuso de Drogas, German information and education center for the prevention of drug abuse, is a private, nonprofit organization in Lima.

The organization, founded by some Peruvians in 1986, focuses on street children, as they are particularly vulnerable to drug abuse. CEDRO has for this purpose in Lima also has its own collection home for children. Further objectives and working methods are:

  • Educate the public about drug abuse and its consequences ( in the form of participation in trade fairs, lectures and workshops )
  • To protecting vulnerable groups against drugs, for example street children. These opportunities for meaningful recreational activities are offered, such as music lessons, drawing classes, sporting events or courses.

Since 2002, an Austrian foreign service can be completed.
