Centronics#The interface
Enhanced Parallel Port (EPP ) is a mode of the parallel port of a computer.
The specifications are from Intel, Xircom and Zenith Data Systems. EPP used bi-directional data transfer and can reach speeds of up to 2 megabytes / sec. EPP is used primarily for network adapters, external storage devices and to connect printers.
The external devices can be connected by two different types of connectors to the PC:
- 25-pin D -sub connector
- Centronics plug
