Cerami
Cerami is a city in the province of Enna in Sicily region of Italy with 2120 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Location and data
Cerami is located 71 km north-east of Enna. The inhabitants mainly work in agriculture and the processing of milk ( dairy ) work.
The neighboring municipalities are Capizzi (ME), Cesarò (ME), Gagliano Castelferrato, Mistretta (ME), Nicosia and Troina.
History
In the Bronze Age here was a prehistoric site. The present town was built around the medieval castle.
In the year 1063 (June), battle between the Normans of Roger of Hauteville and Saracens ( Battle of Cerami ): victory of the Normans.
