Ceršak

Ceršak is a place in the north of Slovenia, located in the municipality Šentilj v Slovenskih goricah ( German St. Egidi in Windisch Büheln ) is located.

Geography

The place is located in a gently sloping area in the northwestern part of the Slovenian hills and south next to the Mur.

History

The place name " Cirbek " ( " Zirberck " ) was first used in 1329 as a poor translation of the German language.

Industry

Near the Mur is a paper mill. From a small town near the factory was a place with a few houses where the workers of the firm live in the 70s and 80s of the 20th century. This factory is also the only hydroelectric power plant on the River Mur in Slovenia.
