Cesar Zuiderwijk

Cesar Zuiderwijk ( born Cornelis Johannes Zuiderwijk; born July 18, 1948 in The Hague, Netherlands) is a Dutch drummer. He is best known as a longtime member of the Dutch rock band Golden Earring, Radar Love landed with a worldwide hit in 1973.

Career

With twelve years Zuiderwijk first began to play the guitar, but then switched to drums after two years. As a drummer, he played in various groups such as, among others, in his school band " René & His Alligators ", " Hu & The Hilltops " and "Livin 'Blues ".

Golden Earring

In 1970 he was finally succeed sieve Warner as the drummer of Golden Earring. Since that time the band playing in the same band members, in which they had their greatest successes. Radar Love (1973 ) was one of her first published in the U.S. singles and was a worldwide hit (U.S. # 13, UK # 7, D # 5, E # 1 ) Zuiderwijk is known at every appearance to present a brilliant drum solo.

Solo projects

In September 1992, played Zuiderwijk with the support of Dutch music teachers Luc van der Vloet with 1,000 other drummers " Radar Love " live in the port of Rotterdam and thus received an entry in the Guinness Book of Records.

In 2000 he went with " Percossa Percussion" on tour, as Golden Earring paused one year.
