Cessole

Cessole is a municipality with 422 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Asti (AT ), Region Piedmont.

Geography

The municipality covers an area of 11 km ². The neighboring municipalities are Bubbio Cossano Belbo, Loazzolo, Roccaverano and Vesime.

Specialty

In Cessole are vines for the Dolcetto d' Asti, a grown red wine with DOC status. The berries of the grape varieties Pinot Noir and / or Chardonnay may be processed for sparkling wine Alta Langa. The Muscat grape for the Asti Spumante, a sweet DOCG sparkling wine with a low alcohol content and for still wine Moscato d' Asti is also grown here. From the grape variety of the sweet Brachetto Brachetto d'Acqui sparkling wine is produced. In Cessole also vines of Barbera for the Barbera d'Asti, a DOCG red wine are grown with status.
