CFBT-FM

CFBT -FM ( 94.5 The Beat ) is a private radio station in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The Contemporary hit transmitter has the claim: " Vancouver 's # 1 Hit Music Station". It emits with a power of 90,000 watts from Mount Seymour from northern Vancouver. CFBT -FM is operated by Bell Media, with studios in the 2nd Avenue in Vancouver.

History

In autumn 2000, a new transmission frequency was announced in Vancouver, that interested many broadcasters operator. For the frequency, eleven companies have advertised that was the last high-performance frequency on the Vancouver market, which could still be forgiven. On 5 June 2002 Focus Communications received the broadcast license for the frequency. The company named the transmitter with the letter CFBT - FM. The official first broadcast was on March 4, 2002.

In September 2004, the station changed its broadcasting format and started with the airing of top 40 songs, as well as R & B and hip hop.

Competitions

The transmitter stages the competition The Beat Music Awards competition by future music talent to be discovered. The winners of this competition will have the opportunity to take 4 plates with the help of a professional production team and label. 2007 Elise Estrada won the coveted title and reached a top 40 rank with the song " Insatiable " in the Canadian charts and has toured throughout Canada.

In 2010, the finalists compete for a price that allows them a professionally produced piece of music to take cooperation of the company Rockstar Music croup.
