CFQK-FM

The Thunder 103.5FM is a Country radio station from Kaministiquia, Ontario, Canada. The operator of the transmitter is the company Northwest Broadcasting. Besides transmitting the station in Kaministiquia the company operates another in Shuniah, on the frequency 104.5FM south of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.

History

On September 15, 2000 Northwest Broadcasting received the transmission approval by the Canadian Radio -television and Telecommunications Commission ( CRTC ) for a transmission on the frequency 104.5 MHz in Kaministiquia, Ontario. The transmissions started 2001/2002, the second station started operation in 2003.

On 10 June 2005 refused the Canadian Radio -television and Telecommunications Commission ( CRTC ), the acquisition of the sender by the Dougall Media.

Since the channel establishment experienced the many short-lived station broadcasting formats such as hot ac / oldies, adult hits and country music and hot adult contemporary format. In May 2008, a unified Country format has been set now known as 103.5 The Thunder.
