Chacabuco Department, Chaco

The department Chacabuco ( Chaco ) lies in the southwest of the province of Chaco in the north- western Argentina and is one of 25 administrative units in the province.

It is bordered to the north by the Department of Nueve de Julio Avenue, the east by the department of O'Higgins, to the south by the Departamento Doce de Octubre and to the west by the province of Santiago del Estero.

The capital of the department of Chacabuco ( Chaco ) is Charata. It is located 214 km from the provincial capital Resistencia and about 1,100 kilometers from Buenos Aires.
