Chacarita Juniors

Club Atlético Chacarita Juniors is an Argentine sports club based in Buenos Aires and primarily known for its football department. The football team founded in 1906 clubs playing in the 2010/11 season in the Nacional B, the second division in Argentina's football.

While there is the club based in the district Chacarita, the football stadium located in outside the city Villa Maipú ( Partido Tres de Febrero ).

History

The club was founded on May 1, 1906. There was a short time with an institutional crisis, so that the club was re-opened in 1919. In 1924 the team achieved the first amateur league where the club remained even after the professionalization of football in 1931.

In 1940 they were relegated to the second amateur league, could after a year but already celebrating the resurgence. In 1956, we got off a second time, but had to turn only three years waiting for the return to the first division. After ten years in league 1 in a row, Chacarita Juniors increased their single title, the Metropolitano 1969, celebrate.

In the following years the team played consistently bad and was until 1980 passed in the fourth league. In 1984 was celebrated the return to the first division, suffered relegation due to problems with their own hooligans and a point deduction, however, again.

Until the re-emergence in 1999, the club played consistently second - or even third-rate. After the Clausura 2004, the club was relegated again in the Nacional B, where they División after a short trip to the Primera 2009/2010 for the 2010/11 season to play again.

Remarkable

Players and fans of the team are commonly nicknamed " Los Funebreros " means ( The Undertaker ). Reason is the location of the first own stadium, which was next to a cemetery.
