Chachapoyas (Peru)

Chachapoyas ( full name: San Juan de la Frontera de los Chachapoyas ) is the capital of the Amazon region, the province of Chachapoyas and the district Chachapoyas in northern Peru.

Foundation and History

Chachapoyas was founded on September 5, 1538 by Alonso de Alvarado, a General Francisco Pizarro. Pozo de Yanayacu
