Chad Harbach

Life

Harbach grew up in the U.S. Midwest on in Racine ( Wisconsin). His father was an accountant, his mother the director of a Montessori school. He completed his journalism studies with a BA from Harvard University, where he became friends with the budding writers and journalists Keith Gessen and Benjamin Kunkel. He received his degree as he made MFA at the University of Virginia.

Journalistic activities

Harbach had already in 1998 the idea and the name of a literary magazine, the quarterly he n since 2004 with Mark Greif, Gessen, Kunkel and Marco Roth, entitled 1 published. He writes for the magazine on environmental issues, the writer David Foster Wallace and sports themes such as the Boston Red Sox.

2011 had Harbach's first book, The Art of Fielding, a novel about baseball, great success in the United States.
