Chad Trujillo

Chadwick A. "Chad " Trujillo ( born November 22, 1973) is an American astronomer.

After completing his doctorate at the University of Hawaii ( 2000) Trujillo works at Gemini Observatory in the field of the Kuiper belt and the outer solar system and the formation of the solar system and other planetary systems. When looking for the trans-Neptunian objects bright he was involved among other things, the discovery of the dwarf planet Eris and Makemake and the large asteroid Quaoar, Sedna, ( 90482 ) Orcus and 1999 DE9.

The asteroid ( 12101 ) Trujillo is named after him.
