Chafing-Dish

A chafing dish [ tʃeɪfɪŋ dɪʃ ] ( chafing of English, Anglicized from French chauffer, " heat ", and English. Dish " bowl, plate, dish " ) is a container for keeping food warm. In general, the food container resting on a base with an underlying heating ( open flame or electric heat plate ).
