Chagossian creole

Chagos Creole ( Kreol also Ilois or only Ilois ) is a creole language based on the French, which is spoken by about 3000 Chagossianern, the former inhabitants of the Chagos Archipelago. It was built around 1900 on the isolated archipelago. Currently it is mainly spoken in Mauritius and the Seychelles. There is also a small group of speakers in the United Kingdom.
