Chain whip

The nine section whip (Chinese九节鞭, Pinyin Jiu Jie Bien ), Jiu Jie Bian also, chain parts - whip is used in various martial arts.

Description

Most use it in place of Chinese martial art, that is the modern as well as traditional Wushu. It consists of a plurality of metal rods, whose ends are connected with rings, thus forming a flexible chain. Mostly located at one end of the chain and a handle at the other end a small spearhead, intended to slit or puncture of the fictitious opponent. Often located at or just below the tip of a cloth, a second can be attached to the handle. These provide when using the whip for a typical wushu performance. Both visually as well as due to the rapid Sausens that arises during oscillation in the air. However, they help to stabilize the chain and to give the martial artist better control of the weapon.
