Chakhar Mongolian

Chahar - Mongolian (Chinese Měnggǔyǔ Cháhā'ěr Fangyan蒙古语 察哈尔 方 音or Cháhā'ěr Fangyan察哈尔 方言) is spoken by the Mongolian ethnic group of the Chahar dialect of Mongolian. It is set as a standard pronunciation in Inner Mongolia in the People's Republic of China variety. Spoken it is for example in Ulanqab and according to the official dialect classification in Xilin Gol (which is elsewhere considered a separate variety). The language used in the Mongolian Republic in official contexts, however, is Khalkha Mongolian. Some of the Chahar - Mongolian is also expected to " Peripheral Mongolian " [ mvf ] (see web link).
