Chalcedon (titular see)

Chalcedony ( Italian: Calcedonia ) is a Titularerzbistum the Roman Catholic Church.

The ancient bishopric was at Chalcedon, now a district of Istanbul ( Turkey), native. After the Council of Chalcedon ( 451) the bishopric of Chalcedon was raised to an archbishopric. He was not assigned a suffragan.
