Chalmette is a city and the administrative center ( Parish Seat) of St. Bernard Parish in the U.S. Federal State of Louisiana and part of New Orleans - Metairie - Kenner Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Geography
Chalmette is located at 29 ° 56'44 " north latitude and 89 ° 57'42 " west longitude and is located between the Mississippi River to the south and the Mississippi River - Gulf Outlet Canal in the north. History

Battle of New Orleans
