Chalonnes-sur-Loire
Chalonnes- sur -Loire is a commune in the western department of Maine -et -Loire in the Pays de la Loire.
The city is located about 20 kilometers southwest of Angers in the Loire Valley, just on the junction of her left tributary Layon, and has 6551 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011). Its area is 38.56 km ².

Economy
Within the department Chalonnes- sur -Loire is one of the largest wine-growing villages. The wines are marketed under the appellations of Anjou, Anjou -Villages, Chaume, Coteaux -du -Layon and Coteaux -de- la -Loire.
Twinning
Chalonnes- sur -Loire since 1982, the twin city of Tecklenburg. There are also twinning since 1991 with Ballinasloe in County Galway and since 2001 with the Polish city Sanniki.
