Champasak Province
Champasak (also Champassak, Lao ຈໍາ ປາ ສັກ ) is a province in the southwest of Laos. Their capital city is Pakse. It is bordered by Thailand and Cambodia, and is drained by the Mekong River.
Both the UNESCO World Heritage Vat Phou and Champasak and the Four Thousand Islands and the Mekong falls are located in the province of Champasak, which also includes the Bolaven Plateau lies for the most part.
The People's Republic of China maintains a military radar facility in the south of the province.
