Champlin is a city in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It is located in the north of Hennepin County and has approximately 22,200 inhabitants.

Geography

Champlin is located approximately 23 kilometers northwest of downtown Minneapolis in the metropolitan area of ​​Minneapolis -Saint Paul. The city is located on the Mississippi River, which is in the northeast of the city limits. History

The first permanent settlement on the territory of today's Champlins was 1852. On May 11, 1858 Camplin Township was established. A year later, this was divided into two townships, the Champlin and Dayton Township.
