The chance Arena until 2007 Střelnice Stadium, is a football stadium in the Czech town of Jablonec nad Nisou. It is the venue of the football club FK Jablonec BAUMIT. In the stadium, the namesake of the bookmakers is opportunity, and 6,280 seats.

Characteristics

The stadium is located on the southwestern outskirts. It has three stands. On the east side, where the main entrance is, there is the covered grandstand. Opposite, on the west side is also a covered grandstand seating, the guest sector is in its northern part. Behind the gate on the south side is since 2005 also a covered grandstand seat. The north side is not expanded. Immediately adjacent to the arena is the athletics stadium in the city.

History

The place where the current stadium is located, was ( German: Gablonz ) in the 19th century by the gun club the town of Jablonec used. Since the beginning of the 20th century, the site of the shooters was also used by the footballers of the city. To an expansion occurred in 1927, when in addition to benches, locker rooms and ticket booth and a small wooden grandstand was built. Was opened to the sports field clubhouse - the Czech name was Střelnice - BSK Gablonz with a game against the DFK Reichenberg.

In 1955 a large new grandstand with a wooden roof and pillars arose. In 1963, the previous clay court received a lawn. A year later took over the carmaker LIAZ as a new carrier operating the patronage of the previously functioning as Jiskra Jablonec Club. This also resulted in fundamental changes to the stadium. First, a career was built for the athletes of the TJ LIAZ Jablonec, so the playing field has been greatly narrowed. In addition was built on the opposite side of a grandstand with 2,620 seats.

After the Velvet Revolution, the stadium was modernized. In 1994, the stadium received a much needed in the area covered with snow -soil heating at the second attempt. Two years later, the stadium was due again renovated and modernized by the rise of the club in the top flight.

Beginning of the 21st century was the stadium from TJ LIAZ Jablonec in the property of the city, creating a year-long dispute could be ended. Mid-2003, the stadium received a floodlight system in mid-2004 on the south side of a covered grandstand with 1,839 seats. In 2005, the grandstand was demolished and a new, modern grandstand for 3,000 spectators seated within a year.

In August 2007, the stadium was renamed chance Arena. It acts as the Czech bookmakers CHANCE as name sponsor.
