Chancre

The ulcer durum ( German: Hard chancre ) is the primary lesion of syphilis (stage I) and usually occurs after a mean of 21 days at the site of infection (eg, penis) on. It is a painless ulcer in which pathogens are detectable mass and is therefore highly contagious. Typical is the raised rough (Latin durum = " hard" ) edge. The regional lymph nodes can begin to swell ( Satellitenboubo ), but are painless and remain displaced. After about two to six weeks of the ulcer from healing with scarring. The infection persists, however, and goes into the clinical stage II.

Differential diagnosis should also genital herpes or chancroid in question.
