Chandler is located in a very wide area municipal association, in which the city limits overlap. This includes Tempe, Mesa, Glendale, Gilbert and Phoenix.
Chandler is one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. and also headquarters of the electronics group Motorola. On Stellar Airpark (FAA ID: P19 ) is home to the helicopter manufacturer RotorWay International.
