Changing bag

In photography, a changing bag is a spacious, light-tight, usually double- cloth bag, also with light- tight engagement openings. This can be handled in ambient light with photosensitive material. Examples would be:

• The removal of a partially exposed film from the camera, for example, when rewind is no longer possible by a film crack or a defect in the transport mechanism into the film cartridge.
• The loading of sheet film in the film cassette a view camera.
• The feeding of a development box before processing in the laboratory.
