Changji

The city of Changji (昌吉 市Changji Shì ) is a county-level city of Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture in the central northern part of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China. It has an area of ​​7981.13 km ² and has 390,000 inhabitants ( 2004). It is the district capital of Changji.
