Changkya Khutukhtu

Tschangtscha Hutuktu is the title of one of the four highest lamas of Tibetan Buddhism. Hutuktu is the Mongolian term for a Living Buddha. The other high lamas of Tibet, the Dalai Lama, who Penchen Lama, the Karmapa Lama. Jebtsundamba Khutuktu ( Bogd counter ) is the highest lama of the Mongolia. The title was awarded by the Manchu emperors of the Qing Dynasty. It is the highest lama in Inner Mongolia. Its seat was the Huizong Lama Monastery.

The second Tschangtscha Lama ( Ngawang Losang Choeden ) was a great student of the fifth Dalai Lama. Emperor Kangxi in 1701 brought him to Beijing. Rolpe Dorje exerted a great influence on Emperor Qianlong.
