Chaonan District

The municipality Chaonan (Chinese潮南区) is a municipality of the prefecture-level city of Shantou ( Swatow ) in the Chinese province of Guangdong. The municipality has an area of ​​596.42 km ² and has approximately 1.18 million inhabitants (2003 ).
