The Universidad Autónoma Chapingo ( UACh ) is a public university in the small Mexican town of Texcoco.

History

The earliest roots of the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo date back as far as 1854, which was founded in Mexico City " Escuela Nacional de Agricultura " (ENA ). The ENA, a militarized school, in 1923 moved to its present location Texcoco in the property of the former Hacienda de Chapingo. In 1969, the school was demilitarized and got 1974 rank of a university associated with the renamed Universidad Autónoma Chapingo.
