The protection of wings ( in Switzerland: Charachar - The bird catcher; Original: চরাচর, carācar ) is an Indian film drama directed by Buddhadeb Dasgupta from the year 1993, it was based on a story of East Bengali writer Prafulla Roy. .

Action

The film is set in East Bengal. Lakhinder earned a living for himself and his family as the fowler. With his partner Bhushan he catches forest birds and sells them to a bird dealer. His thoughts often wander back to his deceased son, who once buried a dead bird - in the hope that it would grow a "bird tree " - and died the following day. To the annoyance of Bhushans Lakhinder often begins to philosophize. He developed a sentimentality towards the birds and enjoying the feeling of the captured secretly release.

His wife is appalled by the behavior because he practically further reduces the already low household income. Also, on an emotional level, he has been estranged from his wife.
