Charger (table setting)

A square plate is a plate which is in contrast to the menu dishes while eating dug not, or only before the main course.

The plates of the respective gangs are placed on the dinner plate. Thus, the square plate is flat and larger than common plate.

It serves to keep the tablecloth from contamination.
