Charles Borromeo McLaughlin

Charles Borromeo McLaughlin ( born September 28, 1913 in New York City; † 14 December 1978) was Roman Catholic Bishop of Saint Petersburg.

Life

Charles Borromeo McLaughlin received on 6 June 1941, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him on 13 January 1964 Titular Bishop of Risinium and auxiliary bishop in Raleigh. He received his episcopal consecration of Bishop of Raleigh, Vincent Stanislaus Waters, on 15 April of the same year; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Diocese of Salt Lake City, Joseph Lennox Federal, and the Bishop of Little Rock, Albert Lewis Fletcher.

McLaughlin participated in the third and fourth sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a Council Father in part.

On May 2, 1968, Pope Paul VI appointed him. the first bishop of the newly established Diocese of Saint Petersburg.
