Charles Brenner (psychiatrist)

Charles Brenner (born 18 November 1913 in Boston, Massachusetts, † 19 May 2008) was an American psychiatrist and psychoanalyst.

Brenner studied medicine at Harvard University and was trained at the Boston Psychoanalytic Institute, and later at the New York Institute for Psychonanalytic psychoanalyst. He taught at Yale University and published numerous writings. Its traits called Introduction to Psychoanalysis, the designated Alexander Mitscherlich as an " introduction to the theoretical structure of psychoanalysis of praiseworthy didactic clarity and accuracy ", have become part of the standard works.
